It is always best to check our Council page for your local Council tree information, there it will provide you with a list of trees that can be removed without permission. If you have any questions, we are more than happy to help. We will always advise you at the time of inspection if the tree needs Council approval before it can be removed. It is important that you ensure a Council Permit is attained before removal as fines can be very high for unauthorised works.
Most people think tree pruning is about keeping your trees healthy by stimulating development.
However, well manicured and controlled trees also keep your family and property safe during storm season. It’s easy for a dead or overgrown branch to become a missile. Smashing windows, damaging the exterior of your home, even injuring your family.
Overgrown trees also present a safety hazard as leaves clog gutters and block the flow of water when it rains. More than adding to your weekend chores, blocked gutters can result in fire hazards or water damage inside your home.
Don’t just beautify your trees, protect your family too by contacting SCMTS Arbor Works for all your tree pruning needs.

No the stump does not need to be grinded however we will only be able to cut the stump as low as is possible taking into account surrounding objects or garden beds etc.
Stump grinding does incur an additional charge and comes down to personal preference and what the future plans are for the location.
No, once it is grinded it will not grow back
We leave stump grinding shavings on site and use them to level out the ground. We can spread them over your garden and and leave the site nice and tidy. We can take the shavings off site but this requires an additional charge as it is quite labour intensive so it is a better option to use it as garden cover.

Prevents future surprises and emergency works:
Preventative maintenance is one of the best tips on saving money for your facility. With general maintenance scheduled in regularly, this can help you avoid those nasty unexpected jobs that can have big dollars attached to it in order for it to be repaired or replaced. By finding and fixing the problem straight away this allows the issue to disappear quickly instead of deteriorating. Preventative maintenance is also linked to ad hoc works as unfortunately things do break and general wear and tear does occur, but with regular maintenance, this can be easily avoided or even spotted before anything has time to break.
Saves you money:
A big plus in general maintenance is that by making sure things are fixed quickly and efficiently your facility is able to save a lot of money down the track. A small amount of money invested in general maintenance and fixing small problems before they turn in larger issues is better than a big repair job with a large cost. A small discovery of mould in a bathroom can lead to larger problems which could see the whole flooring replaced, all which could have been avoided with regular maintenance.
Downtime:
By having scheduled maintenance you will save on downtime. Although we get to our jobs as quickly as possible, if items are fixed preventatively they will not be out of use, saving time your resources could not be available.
All of this can be prevented with our general and scheduled maintenance services at SCMTS Arbor Works for your facility or business.
Brushcutting allows us to clear overgrown weeds, tall grass or wet areas where a mower can not reach. Bushcutting can be used on slopes or rocky areas where it is unsafe for mowing.
