At SCMTS Arbor Works we have a full range of equipment to remove any tree big or small and use a variety of methods such as cranes, cherry pickers and lowering the tree down in sections using ropes. Tree removal (or tree lopping) requires a professional team of people including a qualified arborist. A tree requiring removal is carefully planned and usually done in sections from the top down. The final piece to be removed is the tree stump. If you are contemplating removing a tree, always call an expert. Expert tree removal professionals remove trees day in and day out and know all the tools, tips and tricks to remove trees quickly and efficiently. If you thought about removing that ‘little’ tree yourself, please… it’s just not worth it. There are just too many dangers involved such as falling out of a tree and getting seriously injured. We have the experience and knowledge to cater for any removal no matter how difficult.
The largest of trees can become structurally compromised from small defects in critical positions. If you suspect your tree is in trouble, SCMTS offers a free site inspection and can advise you on the best course of action.
If the tree has suffered extensive weather damage, has branches that look like they may fall at any time, or if your tree sways badly even in a light breeze, the safest policy would be to remove it before it falls on its own, especially if it’s in your yard or a public area.
If the tree seriously compromises construction of a new landscape design, housing or commercial development or a new infrastructure, the Council may allow its removal.
Despite careful pruning, some trees just get too big for the landscape they stand in and have to be removed to give other trees, plants and lawn a chance to grow.
It is always best to check our Council page for your local Council tree information, there it will provide you with a list of trees that can be removed without permission. If you have any questions, we are more than happy to help. We will always advise you at the time of inspection if the tree needs Council approval before it can be removed. It is important that you ensure a Council Permit is attained before removal as fines can be very high for unauthorised works.
